Thankful

I read all my friends blogs and have spent a majority of the month thanking God for blessings in my friends lives and in my own. Because the traditional "month of thankfullness" is just about over, I decided that it was time to think out loud (in print) what I am thankful for...
Jeff
Mason
Cooper
Jaxon
New baby
no more morning sickness
meeting monitary needs for our family without the worry of not having anything left at the end of the month
house
cars
toys
clothes
a job
school for my kids
friends
church
food
I could go on and on and on but I would fill up many days worth of blogs. I fall asleep thanking God for my blessings each night and although they are in no particular order these are always on my list. Thanks to all of my friends who remind me each day of how lucky I am! I hope this holiday season brings much peace and happiness to all of you!

Temper-Temper

I watched a little boy throw a huge fit today (no, it was not one of my own). It was huge! He was mad at his mother for picking him up early from school and not letting him play on the playground. I watched the sadness/tiredness in his mother's eyes as she watched him meltdown. He was tired and hungry but he was angry and didn't know what to do with his frustration. Understandable, he is just a child- what it made me think of was how many times have I judged parents for their kids actions. Before becoming a mother I would hear a child throw a fit and think why aren't they doing something?! After becoming one - I understand. Sometimes the emotions are just raw and need to come out. I would like to say to all of you who are mommies and those of you who will be someday- you are good at what you do. Feel empowered and take a moment to breathe and know you are not alone! We all have days when our kids are emotional. Love them, hug them, kiss them and be sure and love and hug yourself!

Another Baby wow -another baby

So I found out many weeks ago that I was pregnant again. If you read my profile or of course if you are one of the few that read this and know me this is baby #4. I always knew I wanted a big family, but Jeff and I got married soo late in life I didn't think we would be this blessed. I still keep thinking wow again-wow again. The bad news is that I am sicker with this one than with the others - the good news is there are meds one can take now. So much easier to take the first trimester with meds. I want to say that I am very thankful and know how very lucky I am to be blessed with three children and another on the way. Being a mommy is what I have always wanted to be and during this month when everyone talks about what they are thankful for- I am thankful for God's blessing of children. If you are reading this please take a moment and stop and be thankful for what you have- The Lord knows the plans He has made for you! He will not fail you !

Out of the mouths of babes

I am loving the vocabulary that my middle son comes up with to describe things in his world. Last fall he asked if it was "farky" outside- then he said - what does farky mean- It happened that it was foggy and dark outside at the time. Ok so webster's can add that to the dictionary. Monday he boasted when he came in from the playground that he had not shown his "heinessess" to his friends. It was sooo hard to keep a serious face but I questioned him-"heinessess" yeah mom he said these and proceeded to patt his bottom on each cheek! So friends, if your looking for a word to use - there you have a new one out of the mouth of my sweet babe! Enjoy your day!

I am a computer Dork

Ok so as mentioned before I am the last of my friends to join the whole blog thing and I really stink at it. This is the third atempt to update my blog and we will se how successful it turns out. I have deleted one accidentely and I don't know where the other one is -floating around in tiny particles above our heads somewhere. Anyway, as the holidays head towards us - our household is filled with talk of Santa and his email. Rather then having to tell our kids no in the store and listen to the moaning and bellyaching that comes with the word no- we have just decided to tell the kids that we will email Santa with their wants and let him decide what he will be able to bring them. Does that make us bad parents -sure- I mean after all our children need to learn that the word no is ok to hear and be done with it. But I remember looking through the sears catelog and writing out a list in hopes that Santa would bring me stuff. Why not bring the whole Santa story up to this generation. Oh the lengths we go through to make this time of year magical for our kids! Here's wishing each of you an awsome holiday with your families!!
